Effective date: July 17, 2026 Contact: hello@yardgp.com Entity: YardGP LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("YardGP," "we," "us").
Your privacy is core to how YardGP works. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and — importantly — who can and cannot see your identity.
1. Information we collect
- You give us: first name, email, mobile number, home address, the services you're interested in, and optional home details (lot size, number of AC units, pets, notes) and company suggestions.
- Automatically: usage and device data, and analytics about how you move through the flow (e.g., opened a block link, joined, opted in).
- Derived: approximate map coordinates geocoded from your address (stored once) to place your home's pin.
2. How we use it
To create and run your block; show rally progress; collect and present bids; verify companies; run voting and opt-in; send you relevant notifications and one-time login links; validate addresses; prevent abuse; and improve the service.
3. Who sees what — the important part
- Neighbors and your block organizer see participation by ADDRESS ONLY. They can see which homes have joined, signed up for a service, or filed a complaint — shown as map pins by address. They never see your name, email, or phone. The organizer receives no contact list.
- Your name and contact details are released to exactly one party — the company your block selects — and only when YOU opt into that service (see Section 5). They are shared only for the service you opted into, so that company can contact you, set up billing, and provide the service. If you decline, your details are never shared.
- This release is one-way. Once shared with a company at opt-in, we cannot retrieve the information from them. We do not release your details to companies that did not win, to other neighbors, or to the organizer.
4. SMS / text messaging
Consent. By providing your mobile number and joining a block, you consent to receive transactional text messages from YardGP about your block — rally progress, bids, voting, opt-in reminders, service updates, and one-time login links. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies with your block's activity. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts may limit actions (like voting or logging in) that require confirming it's you.
We do not sell or share your mobile information for marketing. We do not sell your mobile phone number. We do not share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information collected for text messaging is shared with third parties for marketing. This is separate from the service-provider release described in Section 5, which happens only when you choose to opt into a service.
5. Sharing your contact information with the company you choose
When your block selects a company and you opt into that service, you authorize us to share your contact information — your name, email, phone number, and home address — with that one company only, so they can reach out, set up billing, and provide the service you signed up for. We share it only with the provider you selected, and only for the service you opted into.
This is a service you request — it is not a sale of your information and not sharing for marketing. Until you opt in, the company sees only your home's address (needed to prepare a bid), never your name or contact details. If you never opt in, your contact details are never shared with any company.
6. Sharing with vendors who operate the platform
We share data with service providers who run the platform under contract: hosting/database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), messaging (Twilio for SMS, Resend for email), and maps/geocoding (Google). These providers process data on our behalf under their terms and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep information as long as needed to run your block and as required by law. You may request access to or deletion of your personal information at hello@yardgp.com; we honor requests subject to legal and legitimate-business limits. Note we cannot delete information already shared with a company you opted into — request that directly from the company.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls that prevent neighbors and organizers from reading member contact details. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Children
YardGP is for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., California), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or limit use of your personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. Contact hello@yardgp.com.
11. Changes & contact
We'll post changes here and update the effective date; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Questions: hello@yardgp.com.
